Hi, I'm Amy and just like my swimmer’s shoulders, my background in media and communications is pretty broad
(I warned you about my lame jokes).

Professionally, I’ve spent around 13 years in publishing and local government, plus a dabble in teaching media and english while my kids were small. For the past five or six years I’ve also freelanced on the side, helping small businesses find their voices in the corporate world.

I’ve co-written local government strategic documents, speeches and media notes, right through to creative feature articles and award-winning recruitment campaigns. On the freelancing side, I love working with other small businesses and have put pen to paper for a bunch of them, helping to carve out their brand personality in both printed and digital media.

Personally, I’m kiwi born and raised and have spent the past 14 years living and working in Australia with my (equally kiwi) husband. We loved it for the lifestyle, and for being hot enough that we could give out stubby coolers at our wedding and not be considered bogan. However, the heart strings tugged us home and we’re now happily raising our two boys back in Auckland.
